The game between closely ranked teams ended withPiratas ' (0-5) road loss to Leones (2-4) in Ponce 90-102 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Ponce. Quebradillas managed to win fourth quarter 26-20 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Leones looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Terence Davis (193-1997, college: Ole Miss) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. The former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991) accounted for 21 points and 9 assists for the winning side. Leones' coach Carlos Rivera used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. DR Congolese guard Emmanuel Mudiay (196-1996) came up with 29 points and 4 assists and Dominican swingman Victor Liz (190-1986) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for Piratas in the defeat. Five Leones and four Piratas players scored in double figures.
